Paul Kisielewski, Owner/Guide
A local to the Asheville area, Paul grew up fishing for wild trout and bass on stream-fed mountain lakes around Western North Carolina. His fishing obsession started at age 3, he became hooked on bass fishing reservoirs and fly fishing mountain creeks. He has extensive knowledge about fishing mountain lakes and the rivers that run into them. He received his BSBA from Appalachian State University, Walker College of Business and dreamed of becoming a fishing guide at a young age. He founded SAA in 2012 for anglers of all backgrounds to come together in Asheville and learn about local fisheries. Kacie Kisielewski, Guide Staff/Camp Director
Born and raised in the mountains just north of Asheville, Kacie has been fishing for trout and smallmouth bass her entire life. Kacie manages our young kids Fly Fishing Camp, and she is a women's guide during the summer. Over the years, her quest for wild trout and other native species has consumed her time and made fishing her top priority. When she isn't on the water, she enjoys running in the mountains, writing about Appalachian culture, and taking photographs of wildlife.
Mychal Hamby, Head Guide Staff
Mychal is the kind of guy that'll keep you smiling while parked in the honey hole with your rod bent. As a second generation fishing fanatic, the door was wide open from the start. He has cut his teeth chasing trout on the fly in WNC's rivers and finessing big smallmouth in the deep mountain lakes. Mychal has over 25 years of experience fishing in and around Asheville, NC. When he's not fishing he hones in on his carpentry skills, takes pictures, and likes to play music."I feel extremely blessed to have been able to spend the most part of my life in the North Carolina mountains, a place that offers so much for an avid outdoorsman. Ethan Hollifield, Guide Staff
Ethan Hollifield caught his first trout on a fly rod when he was four years old, and with the mentoring of his grandfathers, he became addicted to the sport at an early age. Born and raised in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, Ethan has wet a line in almost every stream and lake in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. His favorite fish to target are aggressive river smallmouth on streamers and wild trout on dry flies. While in college at NC State Pursuing a B.S. in Parks and Natural Resource Management, he joined the national championship winning collegiate bass fishing team "Basspack." He has fished in dozens of tournaments in lakes across the South East. If he's not fishing, he enjoys camping, hunting, tying flies, and playing bluegrass.
